Orleans Primary School is at the heart of our local community and we have an awareness of the ethos that encourages respect for everyone's needs, beliefs and cultures. We engage with others in the community to mutually build strong networks and community partnerships which therefore improve the resources and opportunities available to children and families alike.
In this way Orleans Primary School strives to develop happy, confident individuals, who are well motivated, with the skills and knowledge to make their unique contribution to their locality and thus the world as a whole.
We have strong links with our local church, St Stephen’s, who come in and hold assemblies with the children and we also hold our end of term and Christmas productions in the church. www.st-stephens.org.uk.
We participate in local events such as the Twickenham Carnival, St Margaret’s Fair, Crown Road Fair, etc.
Here are some recent community events held at Orleans Primary School:
TEA PARTY FOR LOCAL SENIOR RESIDENTS
The children entertained local senior residents at a tea party funded by monies raised at Harvest Festival.
WORLD WAR ONE WORKSHOP WITH ORLEANS HOUSE GALLERY
Orleans House Gallery came in to school to give assemblies and hold workshops with the children focusing on local events during World War One.
"It was a really fun day, everyone worked really hard and we were very pleased with the result." – Orleans House Gallery.
