We thought you might like to see some photos of our busy Autumn Term. Both classes worked really hard to write and perform their class assemblies with minimal help from Mrs Hayward and Miss Verge – as you saw, the results were impressive!

We have been working hard in the classroom as well as having fun:

• In Science we have planned the layout of a garden centre and sorted sweets (fighting the temptation to eat them!)
• In history we became archaeologists for the afternoon unearthing the remnants of Greek vases and produced freeze frames of different Ancient Olympic sports
• Mrs Hayward’s Maths group investigated the properties of shapes and worked together to produce tessellating patterns
• PC Heather Busby visited to speak to the children about the Police Cadets and answer their many questions
• In RE we discussed our own personal beliefs and took part in trust exercises
• During Anti-bullying Week we discussed various forms of bullying and how we could deal with different situations

We can’t believe that we had time to fit in a trip to the Isle of Wight, Kidzania and Junior Citizen as well as our themed weeks: Black History, Anti-bullying and Road Safety.
