Day 1 - Our lovely guides greeted us and set off to do Shelter building in the local woods. Orleans meets Bear Grylls: the children were set the task of creating a shelter from natural materials like big branches. We discussed how we would survive in the woods; what food we we would collect; how to get water and what to do when faced with trouble from other tribes. Once the children created their shelters they created a chant to ward off enemies or potential threats.
