NON-NEGOTIABLES AT ORLEANS PRIMARY SCHOOL

Non-negotiables are the National Curriculum’s minimum age-related expectations for a specific year group. With the significant changes to the National Curriculum and assessment guidelines in 2014, each year group has now been given age-related objectives that pupils should achieve by then end of the academic year. These are designed so that parents have a clear understanding of what the expectations for their child are.

We would suggest you use these at home as a tool for you and your child to know what is necessary in their writing. Stick them on your fridge, near the space they complete home learning or in their bedroom as a useful point of reference.
