Although you cannot move with the ball in a game of Netball it is one of the main sports for improving agility. The constant turnover of the ball requires the players to sprint many short distances as well as having to change direction at speed and maintain good balance. A range of different passes are used within a game, all developing the player’s hand-eye coordination. Whilst seen as very similar to basketball, the players’ restrictions in movement do not allow any individual player to operate independently.  Therefore, teamwork is critical and players need to cooperate to attack, defend and score goals. At Orleans we believe it is important to learn how to work in a team and share responsibility.
