This week at school we have been celebrating Children's Mental Health Week - as part of our SMSC (Spiritual, Moral, Social, Cultural) Curriculum
This week at school we have been celebrating Children's Mental Health Week. On Monday, the whole school watched the Place2be's assembly to discuss what mental health is and it's importance. Throughout the week all pupils have been carrying out activities enabling them to reflect on their own mental wellbeing. Some of these activities have included 'Reaching for the Stars' or creating their own 'Support Balloons.' The 'Reaching for the Stars' activity has enabled pupils to set themselves personal goals, and the 'Support Balloons' have enabled pupils to reflect on the people in their lives that they can rely on.
See pictures below of some examples:
To celebrate everything that we have learnt this week, we will also be 'Dressing to Express' tomorrow, Friday 11th February, to embrace our own individualities.
