Kicking Out Plastic!

We launched our campaign to reduce our use of throwaway plastic in the school this week.

We launched our campaign to reduce our use of throwaway plastic in the school this week. We have called it POOOP - Plastic out of Orleans Primary - and would like your support to help us reduce our plastic footprint.

Children will be coming home soon with a reusable bottle, made of 100% recycled plastic (manufactured in the UK, dishwasher proof and when it has finished its long life - fully recyclable!)

These have been funded by OPPTA to help stop children bringing single use plastic water bottles into school, to their sports in Marble Hill and on school trips. These bottles can be labelled with your children’s initials and used as a school water bottle. They are extra light, so perfect for school trips.

The children are planning a plastic litter pick in the local area, an audit of the school and kitchen for excess plastic packaging and a poster campaign to highlight the issue around school.

Please help us to cut our plastic waste in the school and at all events! Watch this space for more updates.
