Nursery Rhyme week

Last week Nursery took part in ‘World Nursery Rhyme week’.

Last week Nursery took part in ‘World Nursery Rhyme week’. The children had a different rhyme each day to learn and then took part in different activities linked to them.

Our rhymes were ‘Teddy bear, Teddy bear’ ‘A sailor went to sea’ ‘Five currant buns’ ‘Humpty Dumpty’ and ‘I’m a little teapot’.

Highlights included baking our very own currant buns, making pictures of things we thought we might see under the sea and playing instruments while we sang our rhymes together.

At the end of the week we had a class vote to choose our favourite rhyme. In the morning class ‘5 Currant buns’ won and in the afternoon class ‘Humpty Dumpty’ was the top favourite!

Well done Nursery, Miss Banks
