Year One Visit Kew Gardens

Linked to our current Geography and Science topics

On Thursday 5th May year 1 visited Kew Gardens. It was their first school trip on a coach, so the excitement levels
were very high!

Children took part in a 90-minute workshop focused on seasonal change and weather observation which links to our current Geography and Science topics. The children used a range of equipment to measure and record the weather.  They particularly enjoyed using anemometers to measure the wind.

We finished off the day with a picnic in the sunshine and a visit to the new children's playground. It was a great day out for all. Thank you to all the parent helpers, it would not have been possible without you.
