  1. When do the classes start and finish, what times are breaks?   Please note these times are the start and finish times under normal conditions.

  3. Can our child have lunch at school?
    Children can bring a packed lunch or have a school lunch. See the Lunches page for more information.
  4. How can we as parents learn more about the curriculum?
    See Year Group pages under Children's Zone for curriculum information.  Attend curriculum evenings in the autumn term and transition events in the summer.  Curriculum letters are sent each half term.
  5. What was covered in the last year's curriculum?

  6. What is my child expected to learn by the end of this school year?

  7. How does a school assess pupils knowledge?
    We have a formal assessment week once every term but informally assess the children on a day to day basis.
  8. How often does the school organize parents meetings?
    One meeting in the Autumn term which is a chance to talk about how your child has settled in to their new year group. One meeting at the end of the Spring term to discuss progress.  You will receive a formal written report in the summer (or spring for Year Six)
  9. Can we as parents see our child's work and assessment?
    Children's books will be available to look through at the Spring term parents meetings. If you wish to discuss your child's assessments, please contact your class teacher.  Log on to Learning Ladders, attend open mornings.
  10. What additional activities (physical exercise, languages, music, art, science) does your school provide after regular classes?

  11. Does your school take parents helpers?

  12. Where can we buy the uniform?
    See School uniform information under Parents Zone.  The School does not stock uniform.
  13. What do I do if my child is ill?
    Contact the school office and they will notify your class teacher.  If a child needs to take medication during the school day, you will need to request a medicine permission form from the school office.  More information on Absences.
  14. What is the School policy on holidays during term time?

          Holidays are Unauthorised when taken during term time.
